No game has attracted users during this COVID-19 lockdown as Animal Crossing New Horizons. We, humans, are social animals. So when social distancing became a necessity in real life, many of us simply took to the social simulator in New Horizons to keep our minds intact. Animal Crossing New Horizons on PC

Animal Crossing New Horizons is not only the most successful series in the Animal Crossing franchise, but it’s also Nintendo’s third-best-selling game ever. The game has certainly taken society by storm with people all over the planet playing it, right from casual gamers, to influential content creators and to celebrities. And now, even PC users can play the game using the emulator Ryujinx. The Preview Build on Ryujinx’s Patreon supports Animal Crossing New Horizon version 1.0.0 and 1.1.0.

For the most part, the emulator works very well. However, there are a few issues you’ll have to contend with or work around. First off, a few missing light effects and visual issues will make certain elements look different. For instance, the grass is not always greener (get it?). Unfortunately, this is the minor issue, but also something you’ll have to learn to live with.

Now comes the bigger issue. Often times, the introduction of the game tends to crash the emulator. However, there is a way around this bug, which is to simply skip the introduction altogether using a save file. Follow the instructions given by Patreon to successfully download and open a save file.

Okay so I know its been out for awhile now but we need more mayors on VGA and I've talked to a few people and some don't even know what animal crossing is :cry: BUT...I am here to fix that :3

1. Animal crossing is a franchise that has saved MANY lonely and depressed people from going completely insane, it does that by giving you a sense of comfort, popularity, happiness, creativity and the most effective..the feeling of escape..when you awaken in your town you are greeted by happy faces, beautiful weather and an amazing landscape

2. Elaborating on the creativity aspect of the game as I said in #1, there is so much you can do in animal crossing a few things are, draw up designs for clothing and wear them and even share them with friends and communities online, hundreds of items to dress your character in and pieces of furniture for your house, have a town tune, customise your very own town flag and you even get to pick what flowers and trees you have in your town.

3. Real time is used in animal crossing which makes it a very unique game, stores open and close at certain times, watch as the sun and moon rise and fall in the sky, events like valentines day and Christmas and such take place in your town, you can even have a bank account and save money and over time get interest.

4. There are 333 out of ten possible animals that could end up living in your town each with their own personality its amazing how many different animals you can meet and be friends with and back in the day when animal crossing first came out it had over three times the text than any normal rpg! All for you.

5. So many things to do I can't even think of them all there's fishing, bug catching, archaeology, designing, making friends, flower breeding, build your own house, etc...its crazy

For the people that already play animal crossing they already know that once you get this game..it becomes a part of you..you may not play daily like the game is intended or like other people do but that's the joy of animal crossing, its always there for you to play at your own pace and if you connect with it, you will remember it for the rest of your life...
